白马湖生态创意城位于杭州高新区（滨江）南部区块，核心区域为白马湖区域，该区域依山傍水，自然景观优美、人文积淀深厚。白马湖生态创意城是目前杭州乃至全国规模最大、产业基础最优越的创意文化集群，建成后将成为国家级文化创意产业园区、旅游休闲度假区、杭州城市美学建筑美学示范区、杭州和谐创业示范区，成为一座“宜业、宜居、宜游、宜文”的综合性生态文化创意城。
2008年11月27日，由中国美术学院创意产业发展公司与中国美术学院、白马湖生态创意城指挥部共同策划、运营的中国美术学院创意园隆重开园。创意园位居白马湖生态创意城的中心，涵盖信息服务、动漫游戏、设计服务、现代传媒、艺术品、教育培训、文化休闲旅游、文化会展等八大创意文化产业，构建具有杭州特色的文化创意产业群，吸引有文化、有创意、高素质、高水平的人才来此发展。
白马湖生态创意城是结合文化创意产业与新农村建设，打造文化创意园发展可借鉴的新样板新模式，是“创新性和谐社会”建设的典范。
Hangzhou Baima Lake Ecological Creative City

Baima Lake Ecological Creative City is located in the south block of Hangzhou High-tech Park (Binjiang) and Baima Lake is the centre of the park. With mountains and rivers, this area has great natural views and rich cultural heritage. Baima Lake Ecological Creative City is one of the biggest cultural creative industry centers with great influence in Hangzhou and even China. After it is finished it will become a state level cultural creative industry park with several sections including tourism and leisure section, Hangzhou city aesthetics demonstration section and Hangzhou harmonious business demonstration section, and it will become an integrated ecological cultural creative city that is good for business, life, fun and cultural development.
Located in the center of Baima Lake Ecological Creative City, CAA Creative Park planned and operated by CAACID, CAA and Baima Lake Ecological Creative City was formally launched on November 27, 2008. Its business scope covers 8 cultural creative industries including information service, cartoon and game, design service, modern media, artworks, education and training, cultural tourism and cultural exhibition. Now it is working to create a cultural creative business cluster and attract more top-level talents with creative ideas to develop the industry.
Baima Lake Ecological Creative City also combines cultural creative industry with rural area reconstruction and creates a new model for rural development. It has made a great contribution to construction of creative harmonious society.
